I’m so excited about my upcoming Yoga Teacher training. I think I looked at the schedule of classes at least 10 times yesterday. I’m already planning to go and pick up my text book early so that I can get a head start on the reading. But I’m also nervous. I’ve only practiced yoga for a short time in bits and pieces. So many thoughts have come into my mind. Supposed everyone else in the class is much more advanced than I am? Will I have a learning curve? Will I stick out?
I’ve always been the type of person that works hard to be better than everyone else in a training class. Early this morning when I got up and some of these thoughts started running through my head I made a decision to relax. I’m going to approach this class differently than I have ever approached any other class. I’m going to go in with an open mind and heart. I’m going to learn as much as I can in the most comfortable manner possible in an absolutely positive and inviting mind frame. The insecurity and anxious thoughts have no place on my new journey as I’m aspiring to be a better me.
The great thing is I’m also having some great thoughts. I’m going to do great. This experience will be life changing. I’m growing as an individual. These are the thoughts that I want to keep present in my mind. These are the thoughts that matter the most.
