There are many types of yoga which I didn’t know when I first began practicing. The school that I’m enrolled in teaches many varieties including pranayama, mantra, meditation, mudras, and more. I’m really interested in learning more about meditation as I’ve heard of the multiple number of benefits that come with meditating. Lately, I’ve been trying to take the first 10 minutes of every morning and envisioning how I want my day to go. I try to focus on nothing but positivity and productivity. It’s been difficult to break the “snooze button” cycle but I’m doing better each day. I’m thinking of typing up positive thoughts to post around my bathroom and bedroom so I can readily see them daily.
I really wish I would have experienced more different forms of yoga prior to class as well. A lot of the classes that I’ve taken were similar in nature and I feel like I could have benefited a lot more from a more diverse practice. It’s no problem though! I’m just going to work twice as hard to ensure I can keep up with the class and do the best that I can.
